Terms of Service

Last updated: May 10, 2026

These are our intended terms of service. Final binding terms land before public launch. For the current state, contact legal@ordani.com. If you've already signed a contract or BAA with us, that agreement governs your use of Ordani.

Trial

Ordani is offered with a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required at signup so the account can transition cleanly into a paid subscription. Your card is not charged during the trial. On day 15 the subscription begins at the rate you selected, unless you cancel first. You can cancel from account settings at any time during the trial with no charge.

Subscription and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe at the rate on the pricing page at signup. You can change cadence, change tier, or cancel at any time from account settings. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.

Acceptable use

Ordani is a HIPAA-context practice-management platform for licensed birth workers (doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, and the collectives they form). You agree not to use the service for non-professional purposes, not to scrape or extract data programmatically outside the supported export tools, and not to attempt to circumvent access controls.

Provider responsibilities

As the provider, you are responsible for the accuracy of client data you enter and for obtaining client consent where required by your jurisdiction. You agree to maintain client confidentiality, to sign our Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before storing protected health information, and to comply with your state's professional licensing requirements. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

Data ownership

You own your data. Ordani acts as a processor: we store and serve your data on your behalf, but we don't claim rights over it. You can export your data at any time. On termination, we return or destroy your data per the BAA.

Service availability

We operate Ordani on a best-effort basis. We do not commit to a formal service-level agreement (SLA) in V1; once we're at scale we'll publish one. We aim for high availability and we publish incidents transparently.

Termination

Either party can terminate with 30 days written notice. On termination, you can export your data; after the export window, your data is removed per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts for breach of these terms, non-payment, or unlawful activity; for non-payment we provide reasonable cure time before suspension.

Liability

We provide Ordani with reasonable care and apply state-of-the-art measures appropriate for HIPAA-context services. We don't warrant the service against every possible failure mode. Liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior twelve months, except where law requires otherwise.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes are heard in the state and federal courts located in Alameda County (Oakland).
